New Puppy!

Well, I am back after an unexpected week off here! The end of summer finally came, and I started to prepare to go back to school. I have the very highly sought after job of teaching seventh grade language arts! (I'm sure you're jealous right... You haven't lived until you have to tell 13 year olds not to chew on things...)

Since this time of the year is super peaceful for me, my boyfriend decided to surprise me with the puppy we had been talking about getting. If you know me (or have read my dog Zoe's About Me page), then you know that I am insane about my dog). I was completely shocked and super excited! I mean mouth hanging open, feeling drunk and confused that Zoe had shrunk and multiplied, excited!

Needless to say, things have been a little nuts here! Ruby is 4 months old and weighs about 4 pounds. She looks like a mini-Zoe (meaning the cutest thing ever) and is just ridiculous to watch. Zoe is still undecided about how she feels about this new creature who has invaded her life and taken over her parents' lives. Picture a lot of side-eyes and running away.
